Gratitude nowadays is rarely expressed and most often forgotten.

When life seems hard and troubles crowd, then very often we cannot look for causes for thankfulness.

But life is a two-way lane. Many times, we feel our life is empty and we have nothing to be see what we can give away. And when we give away something, amazingly the flow of spirit-life filled with overflowing love and thankfulness fill our hearts. Thank you Lord!

Man has a natural flair for getting things done the easy way. Many times, we end up drained and tired. Only when we learn that God withholds anything that will bring suffering and distance from Him can our body, mind, heart and spirit accept the reasons over why our cravings and desires are not granted.

What to do? Just get a feeling of bounteous giving into our beings and we will be filled.

Wonderful things are happening to me despite the negative turning of events in my family. But I am at peace and always feel the assurance that ALL IS WELL. God cares and provide. He is the Great-Burden-Bearer and He seems to say to me ------ to carry on just a little-day-share of the burden and to leave the rest to Him.

I pray and glorify you Lord. I offer you this day my thoughts, words, feelings and work of my hands. May the light of your presence gives radiance to my body, mind, heart and spirit to enable me to discern about my present sorrow and sufferings.

Lord, may I not dwell on the past but only on the present. Bury my fear of the future, bitterness, resentment and loss.

Let me see you in everything that is happening in my life. Guide and supply me each day with wisdom and strength to accept everything. Make me joyful and peaceful.

REVITALIZING AND RENEWING

Yes, those two words (revitalizing and renewing) are the adjectives I feel that would aptly describe my life in the days that followed. And now, I am praying and leaning on my-life-power that comes from God which gives me that quiet strength to live day by day. I accept my new role not only as a wife, but also as a trying hard nurse learning to inject insulin, get and monitor my husband's blood sugar level, and a home-grown dietitian preparing his food according to his doctor's dietary prescriptions.

For me, it is a miracle!

DIVINE PATIENCE

Life has its ups and downs and for me, it even takes a long turn.

After more than six months of medical examination, I was able to obtain a Canadian Visitor's Visa to visit my two children who are both settled there. The trip was my memorable first because it was my first time time to travel by plane and also my first time to be out of the country. How thrilling it was!

But having just started to get adjusted to everyday routine and weather, a call to come back home has urgent and painful. My husband had a stroke and complications worsen because of his long-time lingering disease.....diabetes.

Fear, resentment and loneliness were the mixed feelings that numbed my whole being. But holding on to my Christian faith, a started to weigh all things and tried to figure out the necessary adjustment I have to take.

Yes, I thank God for my peaceful acceptance of everything. Each day, I pray for divine patience to strengthen me to be able to joyfully carry on my work as a wife, a trying-hard nurse and a home-grown dietitian.

In my prayers, I am certain in always hearing His voice giving me that assurance He is always by my side, helping and telling me to entrust everything to Him.
